Red ChÂteauneuf du Pape
This cuvee is named in honor of Etienne Gonnet
who created the estate.
Elaborated only during growth years that are considered to be of good or very good quality, this wine is a selection of Grenache grapes from century-old vines harvested when they are on the verge of becoming over-matured. Syrah and Mourvèdre vine stocks
are also part of the wine’s makeup.
Traditional wine making techniques are used and the maturation process lasts for 18 months in large “foudre” barrels and smaller “fût” casks that serve only 1 time.
This wine can be left to age for a very long time. |
